Trans-비전ヴィジョン is a project we started after feeling isolated following the pandemic and wanting to connect with other cultures. I stumbled upon a gallery in Takamatsu, Japan, through Google Maps and began communicating with the owners via social media. We then met in person to plan the exhibition, bringing the project to life. Although Takamatsu and Seoul are not drastically different, the subtle differences between the two awakened new sensations.
The term ‘Trans’ in the exhibition title signifies change and movement, while ‘Vision’, written in Korean and Japanese, carries different nuances in each language. Through various interpretations arising from these linguistic differences, we sought to convey a changing visual experience. The works are organized around the intersection of language, images, objects, and bodies. Through this, we aim to explore the context of difference and diversity, offering the audience a sense of change and a shift in visual experience.

Trans-비전ヴィジョン은 팬데믹 이후 고립된 느낌을 받으며 다른 문화와 교류하고자 시작한 프로젝트입니다. 구글 지도를 통해 일본 다카마츠의 갤러리를 우연히 발견하고, 그곳의 운영자들과 SNS를 통해 교류를 시작했습니다. 이후 우리는 직접 만나 전시를 구상하며 이 프로젝트를 진행하게 되었습니다. 다카마츠와 서울의 큰 차이는 없지만, 미묘한 다른점이 있어 새로운 감각을 일깨울 수 있었습니다.
전시 제목의 ‘Trans’는 변화와 이동을 의미하며, ‘Vision’은 한국어와 일본어로 다르게 표현되지만 각 언어가 지닌 뉘앙스는 다릅니다. 언어 차이에서 비롯된 다양한 해석을 통해, 우리는 변화하는 시각적 경험을 표현하고자 했습니다. 작품은 언어, 이미지, 사물, 신체가 교차하는 지점을 중심으로 구성되었습니다. 이를 통해 차이와 다양성의 맥락을 탐구하고, 관객에게 변화와 시각적 경험의 전환을 제시하고자 합니다.
